1998 JIMMY 4dr TURNS OVER TOO FAST

I dont know what all has been done to the vehicle . It is my moms. The vehicle RUNS GREAT but when you vrank it it cranks so fast that you sometimes get that sound of turning the key to far when the car is on. Why is this ? and what is a quick fix to get the car back to regular start?

From what you have described, your starter motor will need to be replaced soon as you can. With the sound you have described, your on borrowed time and soon your starter will fail without anymore warnings and your stuck somewhere with getting the Jimmy towed plus the repair cost.

Long story short, have the starter replaced soon as you can. Good luck and keep us posted and if you feel like replacing the starter your self, you can pick up a starter at Auto Zone and they will have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools.
