1999 GMC Sonoma Speedometer & Odometer still not working?

Everything else works except the speedometer and odometer. When you disconnect the battery and reconnect, all needles move so it is getting power. Fuses are ok. We replaced the speed sensor but it is still not working. Did we miss something? What else could it be?

I am currently having the same issue on my 1992 Sonoma with no ideas.
