I have a 1999 GMC jimmy, has 96000 on it, The fuel pump went out on it so I took it to a Chevy dealer to have it replaced. After I got it back it ran like crap, stumble so bad it would throw you into the dash. SES light is on. I was told by the dealership that it needed a tune up and to replace the fuel filler neck, at a tune of 1100.00. I took it to another repair shop where they replaced the filler neck and did the tune up. Still couldn't get the SES light to go out and it started stumbling during wet weather. Took it back to the repair shop because it needed a wheel bearing on the drivers side. I told them the SES light was still on. The mechanic put the scanner on it and it came up as a fuel leak history code, he said maybe he didn't clear it all the way after the tune up so cleared it again. had a 45 minute drive home and when almost home, the SES light came on again. I went to Auto Zone and purchased a new fuel cap, put it on the truck and the SES went out immediately when I started the truck. It stayed out for 4 days then the truck started to stumble again and the light came back on. Can't get it to go out at all now. Have not had it back to have the codes checked again yet but was wondering if it could be something the dealer did when they replaced the fuel pump because it diod not have that problem before the "repair" (found out the dealer cheated me on another repair but thats another story) Any suggestions would be appreciated
