i have a 2000 gmc jimmy i noticed on my gauges the other day that my dash lights where gettting dim as i was driving got to where i was going and went to get back in and started it up whell none of my gauges worked so i figured hmm maybe my battery or altanator is bad so i had my battery checked and it was bad bought a used one they said was good to go get home put it in and cranked right up everything great! this morning i get up and it took a second to start but once started my gauges where not working agian so i said maybe the altanator take it off and up to oreilys they test and everything is great with it they said so i said ok ill take my new but used battery up there and have it checked said it was no good. so i said ill just spend the money on a brand new battery buy it get home put it in and cranks right up gauges working and all but one thing my battery light is still on and and my battery gauge shows that its not getting a charge its like a 10. something. what else could be the problem if i have a brand new battery and my altanator shows to be good!!
