I took my daughter to school this morning and I want on my way home and I noticed my oil pressure dropped very low. I want 30 seconds away from home and when I pulled into the driveway and shut my truck off and opened the hood oil was everywhere. What happened? Could it be a busted line or oil pump? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Probably Oil Lines

GM ill-advisedly designed the Jimmy with four unreliable external oil lines: From the crankcase to the oil filter housing, from the oil filter housing to the oil cooler, from the oil cooler to the oil filter housing, and from the oil filter housing to the crankcase. Each of these lines is prone to failure, and each pair (they come in pairs) is a bugger to replace -- especially the pair that connects to the engine. The price for a complete set (both pairs) is about $85.

It could be something else, but these lines are junk and are the most likely suspects.
