2000 GMC Jimmy SLE...Where do the rear brake warning clips go?

Changed the rear brakes...Even filed the nub areas (of the pads), to get them to fit properly...Sprayed the pads with screech stop, too...Now, they won"t be quiet...Thought it was metal debris working its way out, but now I wonder if it is the clips???

You shouldnt have had to file anything to make fit. But the noise is st constant or only when apply brakes or is noise there and goes away when apply brakes
