I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy and I recently got the front brake pads replaced and I was told I have about 6 weeks use left on my rear brake pads. I noticed that after getting the front brake pads replaced I hear a slight squeak coming from the back of the car when driving slow and a little bit when slightly turning left at higher speeds. The sound goes away whenever I apply the brakes. Do you guys think it could just be my brake pads slightly rubbing the rotors?

Thanks in advance.

Break pad low indicators rubbing against the rotors, time to have them replaced also before the rotors get damaged from metal to metal contact due to not brake pads.

Good luck and be safe, you may want to install ceramic brake pads in the rear. They last longer and help keep your wheels cleaner from brake dust.
