It's either the spark, the air, or the fuel. If one of those is off balance the rest will fall and result in a no start or quick shutoff.
Check your plugs and see if they're wet with fuel after you try starting it or if the electrode is wore down or the gapping is off.
Check your air filter and intake. The IAC could be clogged or malfunctioning.
Check your fuel filter, gas pressure, or injectors.
If they all come out fine, it could be something with the timing. But do the cheapest things first and work your way up!
It's most likely because of the fact that it runs and you just got off an hour road trip that the maintenance on the vehicle hasn't been kept up.
