Check the ABS wire leads to your ABS sensor at your front wheel hubs and would not hurt also to clean up your ABS sensors by spraying brake parts cleaner to the sensor and speed ring.

The other cause of intermittent ABS light coming on would be a bad wheel hub bearing. Inspect your wheel hub for play and replace if it's worn.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

Have the same problem. The dealer where I bought it from replaced the right front wheel speed sensor, was ok for 2 or 3 days then back again intermittently. The other day I had a flat tires ( front left tire) and took the tires for repair. The tech showed me an uneven wear on the inner side corner of the tires. He said I may need alignment, now based on this post I guess it may be a wheel hub bearing ?? Anyone can elaborate ? are the ABS and the inner wear correlated per MOLSON reply ?

so i don't get how people can tell other people why there ABS light is on with out knowing the code thats stored in the EBCM.

The only way to fix it RIGHT the frist time is to diag the problem. So you can buy a scan tool at sears that will do ABS for a 179 bucks and post your findings here for help. Or pay someone to diag it for you. There are 200 reasons or more your ABS light will come on. so if you want to guess then GOOD LUCK and it will cost ya a lot.

My saguation is If you don't have the tools or know how it will be cheeper to pay a honest shop to fix it for you. (Not the dealer) GOOD LUCK

Sometimes a little experience is enough to upset a theory or .. OBDII scan.
My dealer used a scan and the scan revealed... MALFUNCTIONING SPEED SENSOR.
That was replace ( $76.00 + labor) and still the problem is there. So how do you diagnose even if the OBD II gives you wrong info's ? If we left everything to computers we would be in a world of trouble. I for once miss the days of simple car diag and repair, now it seems you have to have an IT degree even before you can aspire to be a mechanic. So HAPPY do not put all your eggs in the OBD II basket

well micro the frist thing you need to rember is not all mechanics are created
equally.

Its like any thing else the scan tool is only as smart as the person holding it.The next problem is people get a code and think thats the problem right off the bat and replace that part . When in fact you use the code for a tell tail and a drection only. You need to diag the problem becaues there are many Variables to why a code set. And the # one reason people miss diag a problem is becaues they think they know how the system works when in fact they have no clue. So if you don't know and under stand how the system works compleaty then how are you going to fix it with out being a parts replacer? Your not!!!

OBD 2 is so easy to diag power train problems, ABS/ traction control , AIR bags , And BCM And HVAC.
You can test most parts with the scan tools now
There are not many problems i can't diag i a hour or less with OBD 2. yes sometimes you get a tuff one that will take another hour or two but over all it's easy for a pro that knows what he's doing.

In your case may be you have a bad wire on the harnest side did they test it before replacing the sensor. or maybe you have EMI problem. Or a bad ring or a bad EBCM ?
So did they do ant testing or did the replace the sensor becaues it had a code?
