Just picked up a 2001 Jimmy for use as a winter vehicle (not a beater). I'd like 4x4 for when I need it. Was told the transfer case motor was replaced with a salvaged part. When I push the button to engage 4 hi the light blinks for a while and either switches back to 2 hi on its own or I get frustrated and do it myself. The first few times I hit the button I would hear 2 clicks from the tccm and 1 when it switched back to 2hi. Now press the button and no clicks. Where to start with this? Been lucky (and pushing it at that) so far this year with the snow staying away from Buffalo so far.
