2001 GMC Jimmy P0300 code, where do I start?

I would rather take care of this myself, Ive googled everything there is to know about the p0300 code and whatever the problem I can do it myself... But I was hoping an experienced mechanic was online this morning and could help me narrow it down a bit...

I only have trouble starting it up in the morning, it takes me about three tries and then it gets going....
Also, once I get going, theres no noticeable difference, only when I stop at a light and im at idle does the engine want to act funny... as soon as i hit the gas its very jumpy, but after 10 mph or so i cant tell the difference... Does this help you guys narrow it down a bit? And if you leave an answer could you leave your email too if you dont allow emails on yahoo from here. thanks guys...

1 ever been tuned up..plugs and wires...over 80K do it
2 get scan at auto parts store...free ask what code means
3 fuel filter...change it if over 125,000 miles
4 throw in can of injector cleaner,,,may not help but u never know...
5 need more info...v8? if its got cap/rotor chevys[gmc] eat them up...my 99 gets new every 40K
