So I've had the misfortune of having to replace some gaskets, thought it was the heads turns out it was just the intake gasket, replaced the head gaskets while I had it all apart...
Now I can't seem to get the darn thing to start up!! I thought i had the distributor in the right way, but it wouldn't do anything, moved it a couple of teeth and then the engine itself actually did start to turn over, but no crank!!

I pulled the #1 spark plug and had someone bump the key until i got a puff of air, then i reset the distributor towards the #6 cap position, this didnt do the trick either!! I advanced the distributor a couple more teeth after than, and still no joy. It sounds like its trying to crank and it has popped through the intake once or twice but i just cant seem to figure this thing out..

I've done searches and haven't come up with anything anymore helpful than what ive already done..
If any one has some input I would love to hear it..

it seems that in all of my fussing with this thing, and not having it even close to the right time when i started I managed to gas wash my plugs.. next day went out and tried the same thing again and it fired right up on the first turn of the key now she running like a champ!!!
