2001 Radio Problems.

My radio seems to work intermittently. At times it will work when I start the truck,then stop making any sound. There doesn't seem to be any rime or reason to why it does this.

I would pop it out and check for connections with wires. they might haev started to brake or they are loose

There seems to be power to the unit yet. The sound just drops off.
How do you get the radio out of the dash?

I'm thinking it just "pops out" but be sure to look for any hidden screws

I found this page ( http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/GM/PDF/460001.pdf ) somewhere on this site. It has everything I'll need to know about installing a new radio in the dash. I have decided to replace the original radio with one from Radio Shack. They have everything I'll need to complete this project.
