Hello everyone I'm abit new to sonomas.I bought my 2001 Sonoma SLS 4.3 v6 in june of last year.it's been doing fine until recently.I have been currently experiencing fogging of windows and oil burning/coolant smelling like smoke coming from the ac and upper most vents toward the front windsheild.the issue is so bad that I have difficulties seeing while driving.the oil guage is usually hovering around 30-40 when i first bought it it's now hovering around 40-50(3/4 of the guage).I looked around this forum and I think it might be the heater core that's causing the issue but since i'm loosing oil i think it might be a seal somewhere.I have also noticed that the smoke only eminates from the cabin and not the engine bay as much.
If any of you have experienced this type of problem or similar please let me know.also how much you think this might cost to fix.the truck only as about 83k on the clock

First, lets check to make sure its not a Lower Intake Gasket that has gone bad. Pull the dip stick out, inspect the oil and your coolent for any signs of coolant mixed with the oil. On the intake manifold, inspect for any signs of coolant that may be leaking. The smoke may be getting picked up by the blower fan and pushing it in to the cabin.

The 4.3 are not common to burn oil but will leak oil form the oil cooler line from the oil filter to the radiator. Check for oil leaks under the engine when parked for several hours, there should be oil drops from where the leak is.

Keep us posted and we can go from here. ;)
