I purchased a 2001 Yukon pretty cheaply about a month ago. The body is beat up, and the interior is trashed from a scrap guy hauling with it. He seemed hones about everything wrong and I was in a hurry soI didn;t rest drive and drove it home. It drove great until I put it in reverse or at least tried to. So my 1600.00 vehicle turned into a 6600.00 vehicle overnight. Ok I can't buy much for 6600.00 so I was frustrated, but it was my fault, and it was on me so I chose to move on. A few days ago, the doors stopped unlocking on their own when I turned the key to the off position. Eh its 24 years old so that's fine. I did notice the key or ignition is worn out because you can remove the key in the on position. MY 1996 Tahoe is the same way No biggie. Then a few days ago I got home and the drivers door wouldn't unlock with the switch inside. A nuisance but again no biggie, but then it starts up and dies. The security light stays on solid in the off position and rotates between battery and security for eternity in the on position. It will not relearn the key. I tried that probley 20 times, I have tried disconnecting the battery, I have charged the battery, I have tried to bypass the green and orange wire, I have had a scanner on it and it wasn't communicating with the body control module (Maybe Vats?). We got it to wake up but then it stopped. Both FOBS stopped working and keys. I am begging for help. I am already buried and the dealership idea terrifies me. Help!!!!!!!!!
