I have an 2002 envoy slt. I jumped someone and thats when all the problems happened. The volt meter on the dash went to 0 volts. I charge the battery and tried to make it the the auto parts to have it checked but never made it out of the drive way before the battery went dead. I brought the battery to the auto part to have checked and it said it had a bad cell so I get a new battery. Went home a put it in and the volts were 14.2 volts went back to auto store to have them check the alternator and started and they tested fine. The next day the voltage meter was only 11 volts. Took the envoy back to the auto part store and had tested and they said the alternator was bad. I was driving home and the volt meter was back to 14.2 volts. The next day it was back to 11 volts and never went up. I found an replacement alternator online but it says that it has a 03:45 plug clock Without adapter harness and an Internal Regulator Style. would i have to buy an harness and is my old alternator an internal regulator ? Can the belt be the cause of this problem ?
