2002 gmc sierra radio problem?

my 2002 GMC Sierra radio does not work the lights work on it where it says the time and when i change the station but i get no sound i checked the fuses and they all were working. i dont know if its a loose wire or they are crossed but i need to know how to fix it or how to get it fixed

Check to make sure no body hit the mute button, at worst the pre-amp in the head unit has gone bad and will need to be repaired.
