I just had one of those handheld diagnostics done on my 2003 Envoy, and the readings came back:
P0300
O2
EGR
The mechanic is pretty certain that this is an oxygen sensor. Does this sound correct? Also, he says he thinks there are four and that I 'should' replace all while I'm under the hood.
A little history ...
The vehicle is running very rough and sometimes dies at idle. Initially I was getting a P0301 reading and changed all plugs as well as swapped coil #1 with #2 to determine if it is the coil pack. Now I get this new reading.
BTW - The mechanic isn't selling me anything. I'll be doing the work, not him so telling me to replace all O2 sensors is not an attempt by him to upsell me.
