Yes you can fix this your self, your blower motor speed sesitor has gone bad and will need to be replaced. The back, i am leaning towards that most of it's life it ran on high and the high current has damaged the wire harness and leads and will need to be replaced. All parts can be bought at most auto parts store and will have the step by step instructions to get the job done with common tools. Auto Zone i belive has the parts. Goos luck
