I have a 2003 GMC Envoy SLE L6.
My problem is that I replaced the fuel pump in Feb and since then I've replaced the fuel pump relay numerous times. I have to keep a spare in my glove compartment because if I dont then my car may not start.

My question is Why does the fuse keep blowing? It is a wiring problem? None of my other fuses blow. Only that one.

If the wire harness to your fuel sending unit has not been replaced. There may be a short that is causing your relay to go bad and check your ground lead wire and replace your fuel filter. A dirty fuel filter will cause your fuel pump to work harder, creating my amperage flow to run the pump.

Here is thread that had the same issues and so far it seam to have helped him out so far. :D Good luck and please keep us posted.

help

yesterday my wife was going back to work, she parked the 2005 gmc envoy. i came along to switch vehicles, only to find the envoy will not start. the envoy act like it was out of gas, so i try to hear if the fuel pump was working. i could not hear any sound, i try to turn the motor over but act like it was out of gas. i looked online came across this guy who had the same problem, he changed out his fuel pump relay. so i purchased the fuel pump relay and the envoy started. i drove around for awhile and parked the envoy for about 15 minutes and the vehicle would not start like it was out of gas. i finally got it started again, drove around for about a hour, no problem. so i turned off the envoy, went into the store came out, again would not start, kept trying finally it started and i was on my way home. turned it off and it kick off, like nothing was wrong with it. 15 minutes later same problem wouldnt start. does anyone have a idea that would help me. thanks!!
