I have a 2003 Sierra 2500. Driver and passenger heated seats are not working. When the button is pushed the indicator light comes on but goes right back out. Could you please give me a trouble shooting procedure.
Thanks

Start wht the simple and check the fuses, then work your way to the wire harness. Look for any signs of damage to the wires that may be causing a short in the system.
Good luck and keep me posted, feel free to ask if you need a link to where the wire harnesses are ran. I do believe thet are ran down the center console beteween the front seats.
All fuses are ok. Link for wiring would be great. Do you know the ohms of resistance for the seat heater pads? If one heat pad is burnt out will it effect both seats?
Just bought 2003. The heated seat comes on and goes off. Was having the upholstry repaired and they advised element in seat burned so I replaced it but seat still does not work.
I heard today from someone that works at Chevy dealership that his did same thing and they replaced the stop lamp switch as power for seat runs thru it. Anyone heard of this
This seems to be a regular problem for all Chevy and GMC. Can anyone help
