The window goes down OK, but when putting it up it goes about and inch then you have to press button up again, and just keep pressing it on & off to get the window all the way up. Does it on either switch. What would the problem be, the switch, the motor, GMC dealer not sure. Any Help Please.

Sounds to me like the overload in the motor(s) are tripping out. Check inside doors to see if you have any obstructions to the window travel.

04 GMC Envoy Master Window Switch

I would check the window switch itself, there could be corrosion built up on the contacts. You can find the window master switch here. Keep in mind All new window master switches for this Envoy must be unlocked, or programmed, for the switch to be functional.

It indicates that the problem with the motor only and so you have to change the powerful motor to move the window smoothly and also check the switch.
