2004 Sierra 2500 Duramax
I'm not sure it is haunted, because water got on / in the driver's switch (don't jump to conclusions yet).
It was raining and I cracked the drivers window and made a left turn, about 1/2 cup of water rolled across the roof and poured in on the driver's bank of 4 window switches, window child lock out switch, mirror switch, and door lock switch panel.
At first the driver's window would not roll back up until I garaged it and blew out the water with compressed air, I also pulled out the 20 amp breaker and reinstalled before the window started working. When I first started it the headlights blinked on and off for 10 seconds.
Everything was fine for a week.......now, everytime that I start my truck the rear LT window rolls down (not just key at start, it must be started and then it automatically rolls down when started). It had to be rolled up with it's rear door switch because the driver's switch would not roll it up.
Today I disconnected the batteries for a minute and touched the cables together for 10 seconds each.
Now, it still rolls down by itself, but the driver's switch will roll it up, but only in child lock out mode.
I want to troubleshoot more before buying a $168 switch bank. Could it be something else? Body control module? anyone got a schematic? Thanks.
John
