Hey guys. My buddy just got a GMC Sierra 3500 6.0L with ~140,000 miles on it. When he brought it to me to check it out it had a bunch of codes in it. I cleared them out and he drove it for a few days. Monitors ready the MIL light came on. I checked it and it was a P0300, random misfire. Clear that code, a few weeks later and ~2,000 miles and the MIL light comes on again, P0332, knock sensor low voltage. Left that code in and turned the truck on. Fiddled with harness' to the coils, injectors, spark plug wires and such. After that I got a P0306, cylinder 6 misfire to pop up. Are these engines like the 350's, 1/3/5/7 on drivers side and 2/4/6/8 on passenger? I'm wondering where you guys would go with this. I'm not familiar with this engine or truck at all. I was thinking pull #6 plug and wire, check plug gap and physically examine it, and test the wire with a DMM for a possible break. If nothing, check coil with the DMM. But if I get nothing there, then what? No one code has popped up multiple times. And it can be days before one does happen to pop up. Reason I ask is this is our new plow truck, and I would like to fix all issues before cold weather, so it can be driven year round. Thanks! If you want live data reports, I have them on photobucket.

Nobody has any suggestions? I took the spark plugs all out and gapped them correctly, to .040. They're delco iridiums. Truck ran a bit better, but after driving for a little while (I wasn't there so i didn't get to try anything else), the MIL light came back on. Haven't had a chance to check code, but i'm going with it's a random misfire code, again.
