2006 Envoy Electrical Issues?

The Envoy battery keeps draining periodically.
I took a photo of a wire that is not connected. Can someone please identify this...and should it be connected and could it be causing this issue? The battery is newish. Thanks for your replies. Is there a place to put photos on this site?

Not sure why battery draining, possible short but the extra red wire you see doesn't need to be hooked up it is for use with winch remote or other adds.
