2006 envoy xl won’t start. Clicking noise.

Hello, my 2006 envoy xl is in great condition however, it won’t start this morning all of a sudden. It was fine yesterday when I drive it. When turning the key to start, nothing happens. It just keeps clicking and not starting. Radio and lights works. What’s wrong with it?

I have a 2007 envoy denali with the 5.3 and has a similar issue. Radio & lights work fine. Turn key, clicks just once and then nothing??? Bad battery? Bad starter?? I did try switching ignition switch but that did nothing so I put original back in. What might be the fix for this??? Anybody help????

My guess is a starter issue if you turn the key but only hear one click when turning key to start. If you hear multiple clicks in rapid succession, then you prolly have a bad battery, possibly bad alternator too.
