I have a 2006 GMC Seirra with 87000 miles. A few days ago it started having electrical problems. I have not found any other post online with the same symptoms.
While driving down the road the Security light will come on. When it comes on the gas gauge, oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge will drop to stop working and look as if the motor is not running. The display for mileage is working but not the display output for MPG, gas used ect. The light that indicated what gear the transmission is in will go out. The radio works but the volume drops down to about 60%. After a short time the security light goes off and all the reading on the dash return to normal, and the doors lock. It will do this driving or sitting still. It even does it when the motor is off and you are sitting still. I have reset all the fuses and checked the battery and some grounds. Not sure where to turn. Most of the other post have issues starting the truck but mine has no starting issues. Any help would be appreciated
