My water pump went bad on my truck yesterday ( 10/12/09 ) and the temp. got up to almost 260. Should I also change the transmission fluid and filter as well as the waterpump? I had a 1996 Chevroplet pickup and the water pump went out two times and both times the damn transmission got fried cause it overheated and I did not change the fluid and filter. I dont want this to happen to this truck so I just figured I'd ask and see what kind of replies I get. Thank you for all of your help.....
