My air conditioner randomly stops blowing out of dash(top) vents? It continues to work but won't blow through dash vents. The module has given loss of comm codes?? My wife is going CRAZY with this!

The module has given loss of comm codes??

I'm not understanding what that sentence means. My Jimmy had a similar problem with A/C and also had extreme difficulty engaging 4WD. I found the aged vacuum lines (1999) were cracked and/or broken.

One of the computer modules recorded "loss of communication" code (s) I am not really sure what that means?? sorry for the lack clarity.

cottonflash – sorry to hear about what’s going on with your Denali! Has your dealer had any input as to what could be going on?

Thanks,

Cottonflash, sorry that I can't help. "Loss of communication" = out of my league.

Kolar Chev in Duluth can't duplicate problem (they have had it twice)? Service Mgr took it home even, "NUTTIN"! I drive it 5 minutes and dash vents switch off and starts blowing on lower vents (feet maybe hard to tell). Also it is not just air conditioning, vent is also effected.

Turns out

My issue was NOT AC at all but a "mode door actuator" along with a bad/loose electrical connection (my mechanic didn't say exactly where) causing all my other issues. I bought new battery and all is good. :D
Thanks for the help
