Hi
I have a 2007 GMC Sierra that's acting up. My clock will reset and sometime not even start. Locks will switch on and off while driving and instrument gauge starts flickering. Its possessed!!!!! I have replaced the 175amp fuse and negative cable which was recommended on other forums as quite a few people are having similar issue. The truck sometimes will be completely dead and if wiggle the positive and negative I can get it to start. Please if anyone has had this issue let me know how it was resolved. I don't think nits battery because I can get it started without needing a boost.

Sounds like you got a battery issue. It you can get it to start by wiggling the cables, something is not right with the cables, either the terminals are corroded or the cables need to be replaced. I think your problem lies in the battery and the cables.

well seems as though the positive cable is the cause of the problems. Cable faulty near the battery terminal side under red cap. hope this is it. Crossing fingers. was able to start the truck every time cable was touched

I have a similar problem. I have a 2004 Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 with 63,000 miles. I am retired and don't put many miles on it. The clock is correct when I turn on the key but when I start the engine the clock resets to 12:00AM. "Sometimes" the starter will kick out when starting. According to the ammeter, the system is charging. Battery is about 3 years old. Battery cables are tight and not corroded.
My first thought was the battery was going bad, not holding a charge? I put a battery tender on it for a few days, fully charged, still the clock reset.
I thought the starter might be going bad (kicking out), but it doesn't always do it and hasn't gotten worse. if anything it doesn't kick out as often as it did a month ago?
So I guess the only problem I have is the clock resetting? How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Bob
