Hello all,
I am attempting to install a factory Navigation into my 2009 Sierra. My Sierra has the package that includes XM, Back up camera etc..
I first started with the DENSO unit. This unit is the high end Radio that requires the external amp to be installed. When I installed the radio, it actually worked however, the volume could not be turned up to a useable db level. I found a guy and made and even trade for the Delphi head unit. This unit does not require the external amp. I installed the unit and all "radio" functions work fine. However, the turn signal chimes are very loud and my navigation and back up camera are not working.
Currently, I am sitting in a dealership waiting while the radio and truck are programed to each other. The dealer is very skeptical because we don't have the VIN# that the radio was removed from.
The dealer is not able to program this radio into my truck. $100 dollars downt he drain!
DOES ANYONE KNOW A DEALER THAT CAN?
The other problem I have is which Map Disc to purchase. Everyone I ask says there is ONLY one part number for this vehicle. However, I am not sure if that is for the DENSO or DELPHI unit. I may be over thinking the problem. I do have a DENSO Map Disc but not a DELPHI version.
Does anyone know which vehicle the DENSO unit went into?
