Hi all my 2010 sierra sle is having an issue with the backlights on the cluster. That are not lighting up. The dimmer works. PRNDM lights up and so do the HVAC pointer lights. Fuse is good. This just happened last night. I'm thinking it's the headlight switch. Last night when it was dark out I was able to use the headlight switch and the cluster lights flicked on for split second. Then nothing. Any ideas? YouTube didn't have much on this issue

most problems with the dash cluster on GM cars and trucks is caused by the solder connections on the socket mounts soldered to the dash cluster circuit board, most problems I have seen with these are usually the gauges work intermittently, re-soldering the socket connections and the higher wattage surface mounted resistors should cure the problem, a good tv or electronics repair tech can do it, to remove the cluster google your year and model of truck, they are easy to remove, or go to the GM dealer to get the cluster replaced, get a quote so you won't be shocked when you pick it up
