Hi everyone im new to the forum and just purchased a 2011 1500 SLE ext cab z-71 and am very displeased with the 6L80E that GM is now using. I have a driveline clunk when I let off the gas and re-accelerate and also the transmission appears to slip when up shifting at WOT. Has anyone else had similar issues. Also my truck came equipped with the 3.08 gears and this causes very spastic downshifts during normal highway driving, when i go to pass it seems to search for gears constantly, has anyone had any luck with changing to a lower gear ratio such as 3.42 or 3.73, the current set up makes the truck feel very sluggish below 3000 RPM forcing the tranny to kick down to 4th or even 3rd when simply trying to pass someone on the freeway.
