Bought a new 2011 Sierra SLT this year, it has steel rims with a chrome plastic cover. I choose those because I thought they would be easy to clean and looked good. Once the snow melted I washed the truck only to notice some kind of staining/marking on them that won't clean off.
So I took it to the dealership and they new all about it, they took it in and 4 hours of buffing later gave it back to me... no difference still stained. When I complained they said its from road salt and said I should just drive it and it will get worst then they will take pictures and send to GM, when I pointed out they already look bad they agreed but said they didn't think the pictures would look that bad. I then suggested they send a rim to GM... they said NO. I guess I just paid top dollar for a truck (4X4) that shouldn't be used in the winter
Has anyone else had this problem or have a fix.
