2012 Denali-Shut off radio, leaved nav on.

Just bought a 2012 Acadia Denali, I read the manual, question, how do you shut off the radio without turning off the nav also??

Hello Denali24, Have you checked through the navigation manual as well? It shows on page 14 that you should be able to just press the power button for the radio to turn that off and if you hold that button it will turn off the navigation as well as the rear seat entertainment system as well. I read that if you push the volume on off button it shuts off the radio and everything including the navingation. But what if you want to shut off the radio and keep the navingation on?? How do you do that?

I cannot turn off the radio without shutting down the Nav in my CTS4. In my car its called the Radio/Navigation System which implies an integral unit.

Its probably because the turn by turn navigation needs the speakers powered to send the voice commands?

When you just press the power button for the radio it should only turn off the radio. If you hold the button then it would shut down the whole system. That's what I gathered after reading the Navigation Manual for your vehicle. If you'd like me to investigate this further I would need your VIN. I hope this helps Denali24.

The VIN # on my Denali is 1GKKRTEDOCJ191787 , On our Denali one push on the on /off knob turns off everything, radio and the navigation, any help you can offer would be appriciated, thanks.
