I have a 2014 Acadia SLT with 29k miles on it, and I am coming up to the 36k mile warranty ending and was wondering if others have bought the GMPP warranty for it or not? Is it worth it?

Personally I like the manufacturer extended warranty on any vehicle I buy now. Generally speaking, there is so much that could go wrong with new cars these days. My 2011 sierra is covered until 10/2018. zero deductible.

If anything, at least cover the term of the loan with an extended warranty. That is the last thing you want to do is to pay for an expensive repair while still making payments.

Like the price of the vehicle, the extended warranty price is negotiable. I do not like aftermarket warranties, to many loopholes and items not covered.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the reply... How has your 2011 been with repairs, have there been a lot? I have had the GMPP on previous vehicles, and at the best have just broken even with repairs as opposed to cost of the warranty.

I am just wondering about the repair issues with the Acadia...

The few minor things that have been done so far have been covered under factory warranty. Since the factory warranty has expired, nothing has gone wrong.

I personally like the factory extended coverage for the big items.. engine transmission, transfer case, front and rear ends.
