Just picked up my new 2014 Sierra 1500 2WD SLT over the weekend and have to say I am very pleased with all the changes. After owning a 2007 Tahoe LTZ 2WD and more recently a 2010 Sierra 1500 2WD Denali (both black on black) , I was looking forward to a new interior ( the 07' Tahoe LTZ and 10' Sierra Denali were practically identical). Every thing on this truck is different and has been updated. The biggest surprise is the new 5.7l V-8 which I though would feel underpowered vs. the 6.2l in the Denali. Not the case at all. This engine is silky smooth and the ride is vastly improved (IMHO). There is virtually no wind noise, and the cabin is well insulated and quite.

The only bad news is that with a sticker price of $45,500, and no discounts, be prepared to pay top dollar to be one of the first kids on the block with this new truck. At least I get to enjoy it here in sunny south Florida.

One day I can get a brand new Sierra. Until then, I rock the 1983 Grandpa Sierra haha!

Hello Bobbynuts,

Congrats on your new 2014 Sierra 1500! Glad to hear you are pleased with all the changes. The 2014 does seem like an awesome truck! I hope you enjoy driving it around in the awesome south of Florida :)

Auto window up

So did they finally add auto window up? I bought 2013 SLT Sierra and couldn't believe it doesn't have auto window up. That is the only thing I hate on the truck. Everything else on the truck I love. Well beside when you are on the phone with bluetooth you can see the clock anymore. Hope they fixed that too.

The clock thing is killing me, too.

They do have auto up window ( you need to program this feature ) on my SLT. My truck also has navigation, so I still have a clock display when I'm on a bluetooth call
