New member here, I have a 2014 Sierra with 24k miles, it has had a rough idle since new.. Have had it into the dealer 4 times they can’t seem to fix it.

The last time they shimmed the motor mounts, said the motor was hitting the mount and causing the problem, will guess what no it was not the problem.. Anybody have the same issue, and what if anything has been done?

Couple other things, wheels and tires, can’t seem to get them to say balanced, and the AC has already went out..

I am about ready to get rid of this thing, on here to see if anyone has, are is having the same trouble, before I make a final decision..

Have your MAF sensor checked. It may be causing the rough idle issue.

I can't speak to the other problems, but my 2012 had all 4 tires and 2 wheels that were "out of round", out of GM spec. They tried to balance the tires 3 times and each time it would work for about 25 miles, then the bouncing truck came back. Finally after the tires and 2 wheels were replace I haven't had any more problems with that. Sorry to hear about your other troubles.

Thanks for the reply.. After 1000 miles I asked to have the wheels and tires replaced, they changed them out with a truck on the lot, it helped a lot but seems there is at least one that is still giving me trouble.. Last time they rotated the tires it came back, have had them balanced at the dealer 4 times and at a good tire place 2 times..

On the rough idle, last night it was so bad, I thought of leaving it at the dealership with a note, don't want it back until it is fixed are you can sell it, that's were I am at with this truck.. Depending on todays travels they just might have this thing sitting there Monday A.M, with that note...

It is a nice looking ride, first GMC I have owned, been a Chevy guy..

GM does not support cleaning injectors on any engines that are not listed in this bulletin. Engines other than the ones listed in this bulletin that diagnosis indicates having restricted injectors should have those injectors replaced.
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to update the model years to 2013 and to update Applicable Engine RPOs table. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-06-04-030G (Section 06 - Engine/Propulsion System).

Condition

Some customers may comment on any of the following various driveability symptoms:

-

Extended Crank Time

-

Hard to Start

-

MIL/SES Illuminated with DTCs

-

Hesitation

-

Lack of Power

-

Surge or Chuggle

-

Rough Idle

-

Light or Intermittent Misfire

Cause

Due to various factors, the fuel injectors may become restricted. Extensive testing has demonstrated that fuel related issues are the cause of clogged injectors. At this point, no specific fuel, fuel constituent, or engine condition has been identified as causing the restriction. The restriction causes the engine to operate at a lean air fuel ratio. This may either trigger the MIL to illuminate or the engine to develop various driveability symptoms.

Correction

Fuel injector restrictions, deposits can be cleaned on the vehicle using the following procedure. Under NO circumstances should this procedure be modified, changed or shortened. As a long term solution, and to prevent reoccurrence, customers should be encouraged to use Top Tier Detergent Gasoline . For further information on Top Tier detergent gasoline and fuel retailers, please refer to the latest version of the following Corporate Bulletin Numbers:

Thanks.. I sent this to the dealer, I am very unhappy with this truck.. It has been really bad this weekend..

They still haven't fixed the problem? That sucks man.

NO.. I am about to blow a gasket, the last few days it has been really bad.. Just about to go to the dealership and tell them about it, and it's not going to be pretty..

I have a appointment with the service manager and sales Manager at 10:00 A.M. Friday..

The letter I wrote last Sunday..

Anthony, you need to make an a appointment with Geoff the service manager the general manager of the dealership and myself for the rough idle, I have been dealing with since I bought this truck 2 years ago.. Something needs to be done with this problem.. Since I can't seem to get anything resolved, I need to move on..

Geoff says he can't feel the rough idle and wants me to drive around with him so he can see for himself, I feel it every day and so do most of my passengers.. I don't have the time to drive around with him, and will not take the time.. If he and the dealership can't take my word for it, we have a big problem.

I paid $44,000.00 dollars for this truck, it has not lived up to anything close to what was advertised, it's about time something is done.. The AC has be replaced, the front seat mechanism has failed, they worked on the motor mounts saying that was the cause of the rough idle, that was so bogus I laughed out loud!

The running board rubber had to be replaced, the wheels and tires had to be replaced, because they could not get them to balance, I have to add, they still do not stay balanced, I have had it at Lanning tire two times, with only 24K miles on the second set of tires and rims.. I told you I was ready to do battle, well the battle has started.

I have time on Monday at 3:30 P.M., if that is not good, try Wednesday anytime before noon or Friday anytime after 9:00 A.M..

Be sure the manager see's this e/mail, I don't want to have to explain it again..

A Pennies Worth

Good luck with GMC Customer Service. You are a patient man.

Heard back from the customer assistance lady, this was after waiting 8 days.. She says I will be hearing from the field engineer the first week in 2016, we will see..
