Anyone having problems with sluggish, not shifting, seems like starving for gas especially uphill. just got back from 2nd trip in two months for same issue, and FINALLY fixed... Running great, new TCP update just issued. WCC5303, now running and shifting without struggling. Seen other threads thinking, torque converter, yadda, yadda, and nothing but a flash for the TCP. :)

I have the same issue. Took the truck in in March. It worked great for a couple weeks then back to the old. Took it in again yesterday July 21st. While it did not act up while the tech was driving, he did notice it took almost half peddle travel before it downshifted on a hill. It works great in tow mode so it's not hardware. Still waiting for a fix

I have a 2016 GMC Canyon exhibiting the same issues. I mentioned to the dealer and they suggested taking it for a drive. I did not have time the day I was last there so I will make an appointment. Has anyone with this problem gotten any results?

New to the forum. I just bought a used V6 SLE 2016 Crew Cab 12,000 miles. Having no shifting issues at all. Did the factory fix something?? I was scared after reading all the complaints about shifting. almost didn't buy but figured what the heck, with 7 years 70,000 bumper to bumper warranty added to the 1-year-old and 12,000 miles, what could I loose. Loving the truck. Not too big, not too small, just right. Drove a 2001 Dakota for 13 years.

i have a 16 canyon 3.6 4x4. talked to Jesse at wait4me performance. he sent me an efilive cal tool and license for 460. truck has a lot more power and no trans lag after the tune. very happy now.

What is a efilive cal tool and license? Sorry, I'm old school, not familiar with the new technology.

Cavie, My 2015 was traded on a Denali this year . With 22,000 on the 15's odometer and never a hint of shift difficulties I did not begin worrying about problems when they were are not existent, the reason for trading an otherwise super truck was a desire for the eight speed and new V6. I am quite happy with my decision.
