So here is what is happening I have a 2015 canyon 4x4 with 87,000 miles and has a shake that comes and goes at highway speed. Yes those are the correct miles I am the only owner. The shake doesn't have any particular reason when it starts. I can be driving strait or on a curve just comes and goes. In addition speed doesn't seem to be the issue either. It will show up on sweeping turns and going up hills. The shake moves from it can be in the the rear or the front. So far I have replaced all four tires and road force balanced several times. Replaced the brake rotors, and u joints on the drive shaft. Additionally I drained and flushed the trans and transfer case twice and added stop shudder. I have check all ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rods, and engine/ trans mounts, drive shafts, CV axles, and any other bushing with no abnormal play. I have had a clunk from the front that went away, and have discovered that the rack and pinion will shutter with no load on the wheels. (IE on Jacks). Nothing in the rack and pinion feels loose or nor do the bushings look worn out. Before I replace a $1700 part I would like to see what your thoughts are. I am on a tight budget and can't afford to keep throwing parts at it. But on a side note the u joints and rotors did make a small difference but not much.
