I just picked up a 2023 GMC Denali 3500, diesel, crew cab, 8’ box, dually with the paint color GB8 Ebony - Twilight Metallic. (Paid extra for this color) In my opinion this is the worst paint job I have seen on a new vehicle. The primer is showing through on parts of the truck. On the drivers side rear fender it looks like the paint gun had plugged and spattered the paint on instead of spraying the paint on. The film build seems light, and I don’t think the Paint would pass the pencil hardness test (ASTM D3363) I believe. The truck cost was > $100k CDN. You would think you would be getting top quality workmanship. In comparison, I had a 2005 Chevy 2500, 17 years old that had better paint. Who would I contact at GM to see about correcting the paint on the truck?
