2024 Sierra Denali 5.3 - Which obd2 DFM to go with?

There are so many brands to choose from.
Because you have a 2024 Sierra Denali, your options are actually extremely limited compared to older trucks. The 2024 models use GM's new Global B electronic architecture, which is heavily encrypted. Those cheap $60 OBD2 plug in disablers you see all over Amazon that worked on 2014-2021 trucks will not work on your truck.

Right now, there are only two main options on the market specifically designed to defeat the DFM on the 2022.5-2026 Refresh trucks:

Range Technology RA007 DFM Module
This is the most popular and trusted option, but it's actually not an OBD2 plug in. Because of the new encryption, Range designed this module to plug directly into the engine computer (ECM) under the hood. It takes about 5 minutes to install inline on the wiring harness. It successfully disables DFM and also kills the Auto Start/Stop feature. It costs around $250.

Boost Auto DFM Disabler (Global B Version)
If you're dead set on an OBD2 plug in that stays inside the cab, Boost recently released a Tan colored unit specifically for the Global B 10 speed trucks. It has a very low power draw so it won't kill your battery, and it simply plugs into the OBD2 port under your dash. It costs around $200.

One major thing to know about both of these: Due to how GM programmed the new transmission and braking computers, neither of these devices can disable "0 cylinder mode" while you're coasting with your foot completely off the gas. If they forced it to stay in V8 mode while coasting, the truck would awkwardly lurch forward. So, it'll drop cylinders while coasting to a stop, but the second you touch the gas pedal, it stays locked in full V8 mode.
