Ok, so I'm not a technology idiot, and my wife and I've had 2010, 2017, 2019, Yukons and Sierra's, and I currently drive a 2022 Sierra Denali truck. We just picked up a 2025 Yukon Denali Ultimate for my wife. I've spent no less than 3 hours over the past three days trying to pair our Overhead Door Legacy 920 opener to the truck and have not been able to make it work yet with GMC's "NEW AND IMPROVED" system. I've never had the programming of a garage opener take me more than 3 minutes to both figure out and perform. This has been a nightmare, and I still have a garage opener on my wife's visor. Can anyone tell me what was wrong with the system which had worked for three decades? Or more importantly, can anyone educate me on how to fix this issue? Yes, I've tried to use the opener and the TEST, button. Yes, I have tried to use the learn button on the garage door opener. Yes, I've put a new battery in the remote. Yes, I'm tried both formats of technology. Yes, I've cleared the garage opener memory and reprogrammed each of my other vehicles. I've tried inside the garage; I've tried outside the garage. I've tried to do it with two people, so it was done quickly, I've repeated the process multiple times. I'm firmly of the belief this has to be a software issue with GM, or the Overhead Door Legacy 920 is somehow not compatible, which seems crazy because it's a fairly new opener with wireless capabilities and WIFI connection. Any advice for a very frustrated own of an Ultimate?

I have exactly the same problem with my 2025 Yukon Denali. Not sure what to do. I read somewhere it might require a factory reboot of the display computer, which needs to be done at the dealer, but I have not talked to the dealer yet. I intend to make an appointment next week. So far, I have found that if I sit in my seat backwards while sticking my tongue out to the left (left is very important) and close my right eye (only) for 16.2 seconds and from exactly 27-1/2 feet from my door without being more than +/- 3 degrees from directly in front of the door it seems to work. UNACCEPTABLE! I am on my 5th Yukon and love them, but this may make me go to a different brand next time. Very frustrating!

Did you have your appointment? Any information on why this does not work? I have a Genie opener. Tired several times. Even changing the distance between the vehicle and the door opener receiver. Had that problem once pairing a new visor clip on transmitter. I was too close to the receiver. Apparently overloaded the receiver. Moved back ten feet and it worked. That was with the visor transmitter. Vehicle is also a 2025 Yukon Denali. I can usually find the right cuss words to use. Not this time.
