hopefully i can get some help on this. I have a 2007 gmc sierra classic (same as 2006 model) 5.3l vortec with 260xxx km (161xxx miles). starts and runs great idles at 500rpm. The thing is I'm lacking power off the line almost sounds like it's bogging down. I've cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body. New plugs ,wires oil change and transmission oil and filter. I have no check engine light on,also the truck does not have traction control. So I'm wondering why the lack of power?? won't even chirp the wheels turning a corner. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it or know someone who has? any and all help or input is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure your transmission is starting in first gear ? See if performance is any different if you start the vehicle in D , 3, 2, and 1 ( or whatever your vehicle shift lever indicates.) My 4L60E transmission, for instance, will start the vehicle moving in second gear if that's where the shift lever is set. It's possible that , even though the shift lever is set in its normal position, the transmission is no longer starting out in first gear.
