5.7 ltr TBI advice

I really like the TBI (as opposed to carbs) but was wondering if there are any higher performance TBI's. I found one in the LMC Truck catalog but was wondering if there are any more? Also I have seen the spacers that are too be put under the TBI saying they will produce more power do they work? My father told me a couple of friends of his used them and said they didnt help. I drive a GMC v1500 burb.

Start with the right fuel pressure and yes the throttle body spacers do work in the TBI but not in the CSFI Vortec engines.
