A year ago I had my transmission replaced in my 92 Sierra C1500 with a used one (due to cost). I noticed it shifted a little hard from 2nd to 3rd but was told it was normal. After 1 month it stopped shifting as hard until i put a throttle body spacer in 6 months later. I adjusted the TV cable and it went back to running how it did when first had the transmission installed; a hard 2nd to 3rd shift. It is a 700r4 transmission and i have recently noticed it does the exact opposite and slips when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. I'm pretty sure it's my 3-4 band slipping but I'm sure there is more to it then that. I checked my transmission fluid and it's good and it's not burnt. It doesn't slip all the time but it comes and goes. It seems to do it more often when its warmer out. Any thoughts?

Start with the simple and service your transmission fluid and replace it with http://www.castrol.com/castrol/sectiongenericarticle.do?categoryId=9049428&contentId=7083567. This fluid works great for all the GM transmissions made out there.

Also having a 2-3 slipping can be cause by a worn out boost valve and can be easily replaced the same time you service the transmission fluid and filter.

Good luck and the Transynd can be mixed with the Dextron so no need to completely draining your transmission fluid out of your transmission sysyem.

Good luck and keep us posted.
