Hello everyone and thank you in advance to anyone that can help. I had to replace the ignition switch on my 1981 Jimmy. While I was lowering the steering wheel I disconnected the tranny linkage screw. Turns out I didn't even need to. Anyway, after replacing IS and fixing my original issue, I now have a new problem. The shifter will not find Park and every setting is one off...Park = Reverse...Reverse = N etc. Thee tranny shifted and worked just fine before I meesed with the linkage cable at the wheel so I am presuming this new issue has something to do with me disconnecting that linkage. I have tried seating the linkage screw at different positions, but nothing seems to help. Any clues? Thank you.
