Anyone here be able to tell me if 33 mts are a good idea for my k2500 5.7 and what I'd have to do to fit them currently have 265/75/r16 nexxen road jan mt and would like a bit bigger... Also any tricks to get better gas milage thank you in advance

re: 33 inch tires

I did a little googling recently and all I came up with was that oversize tires are of ZERO benefit other than looks. No performance or mileage gains and Negative when it comes to initial outlay and replacement cost.

The bigger they are, the worse your gas mileage gets. They're obviously bigger than stock and they're heavier. If they look good and you like it, roll with them! As far as better gas mileage, I honestly don't know much because I tend to not care but as far as mythbusters go, throw the tailgate down and you get a little better gas mileage.

Hey! thats some interesting info. Gotta give that a shot when times are hard.:D

those 5.7's suck gas period. I own a 1992 Silverado with the 5.7 and I can watch the gas gauge go down. Or up if I accelerate real hard then WAAAYYYYY down Real FAST:cool:
