hey i have 93 gmc jimmy that i need to put a engine in and a opportunity came up with a 01 jimmy engine. will the swap work?

it will work, but your going to have to also swap out the PCM. The 01 4.3 vortec runs on a different fuel injector system from your 93 and the PCM for the 93 will not run the 01 engine.
