Sub dies in gear - Fuel tank dirty
I read your earlier post. What's going in is, (this happens in older vehicles, and has happened to me a couple times) your fuel tank probably has rust and grime in it, and as the vehicle warms up and the sloshing occurs in the tank, that grime swirls around and coats your fuel pump sock (it's in the tank). You may notice this will happen more often when you have low-fuel levels in the tank. When the truck sets for awhile, the grime dissipates and settles back at the bottom of the tank.
You need to empty your tank and fill it with Premium gas. Run this as a tankful at least once per month. The problem will be partially solved. You now should know that with higher flow to your engine, your fuel pump will probably fail. Make sure you replace the sock filter with the fuel pump, and don't run without it. I know this is sucky news, but it's better to know up front. Best bet: Drain the tank completely and replace the fuel pump, sock, and fuel filter. They're cheap for this truck, so just do it. Otherwise, you may get seriously stuck in a bad place.
